I found four pictures that I will be able to use to illustrate the article.
Because we are being published we have to be very careful about copyright.
That was what I meant

thank you for a very vivid description; I will be checking back frequently as I like what I see.  By the way, check back on my reply to you when you have a minute (in essence yes of course you may print it out)  Have an inspired day

Is your name Lindo?

My name is Jo.  I searched around for your name and that was all I could find.

I was wondering whether you would mind me writing an article about Petra?  If you go to my Featured Writer site you will see that I write a lot about History.

http://artseducation.suite101.com/

This year I am going to the Romantic Writers Conference and I have some Historial Stories set in AU set ready to write and publish.  In the meantime I love puddling around working out how things came to be.  I express this by writing about the art that cultures have evolved (among other things)

It will be interesting to see if I can see copy right images at Morgue files but it should be possible I will let you know if I do.

Didn't want to do it with out letting you know.

Pat
you are so right about human capabilities, we possess nothing like this nowadays.

Thank you Sam, although it seems that the entire ancient world had better
leadership than we did today or is it because we are so hooked up on the ideas of democracy and freedom of speach we cannot fathom the concept of slaving for a greater good. what really fascinates me is how all this work was done with primitve tools and with very rough measurment units and yet it functions like a charm.

thank you, i had a weird feeling writing this piece, it had taken me a long time to get started on it and for some reason i did sense that it was ver different from earlier pieces in terms of style and layout even though it was just another travel piece. About people not being aware of Petra's relation to water, i was one of those until i had read that link that posted and suddenly all little bits of information  regarding water i heard elsewhere fell into place. I love when places have a hidden aspect to them, don't you?

What an interesting post.  One of your best.  And, the link is wonderful.  I have never been there myself but, I have several friends who have.  Somehow they failed to mention the water as you did.  Thank you for sharing this.  I really enjoyed it.
