Get out! No way! (Am I just being totally naiive or are you serious?) I had a friend who hadn't moved his couch in so long (nor obviously CLEANED behind it) and when he finally did...no shit...found a little mushroom that had grown there! Now that's weird. But, um, not as weird as a corn stalk. That's just flippin' crazy!

I've never seen that either -- the counch potato --
but I did have a friend whose car was so dirty he actually had a small corn stalk growing from the floor board. It grew to be about 9 inches tall before he finally got around to vacuuming the car...

Boob tube is an American expression. I have no idea where it came from. Never made much sense to me, either! I mean, the tv (aka the telly) doesn't even have boobs unless they're on the screen at the time, which brings up a whole different post, me thinks.

as an aside... i've never heard a tv (telly) referred to as a boob tube!
A boob tube, as far as I always knew was a strapless top that hugged your boobs and was of various lengths - either waist or hips.
