I believe that most people...
...felt it was right for us to go get who was responsible for 9/11. But Bush took a totally different route and put us where we did not need to be. If they were having a civil war, we should have left them alone. I don't remember anybody involving themselves in our civil war, do you? And then when Bush opened his big mouth about "axis of evil" and included other governments, then we really was up that pervial creek without a paddle. That imbecile has put us in the hot seat for sure and now everybody wants to get a little piece of us for being bullies. If we can get out of this mess, God will surely be with us. If not, then we might have to kiss our butts goodbye. War is hell! And you know who's in charge of hell!

Re: Armored tanks

Thoughtfullness:

Where in the Constitution of the United States or in any other document that you care to cite is it argued that one country has a right to dictate to another country how to conduct its government? How is Iraq better off now than under Saddam Hussein? Assuming it is better off, where do we go next? What if someday in the future some country that has grown more powerful than ours,  chooses to invade us to institute their form of government; will  that be acceptable to you?

I can only speak to the fact that my son, a soldier, feels the need to see people free of oppression and I know this could cost him his life. I am compelled to support him, even though I cry deeply inside that he could die. Twenty-three is too young to die. I am frightened most of the time and pray daily for his safety. I want peace so very much!!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!  sam

Afzal50, you're right...
...how can anyone justify forcefulness of any kind! One day, with God's help, maybe we'll come together as one. That is my prayer.

Thoughtfulness,
If all you people who talk about "paying a price for freedom" would "pay", I could personally  guarantee "freedom"!

Thoughtfulness,
From where did you regurgitate this insanity? I put it in the same company with "you got to have war to make peace"! Remember that pearl of wisdom from Tom Brokaw??

Armored tanks
Freedom has the greatest price to pay. Peace can never come without freedom.  Cruel dictators must be removed, to pave the way for all to have a chance at peace.  Sometimes armored tanks are in a strangers land to help keep this process possible.  We all pray it will end soon. May God bless you and comfort you.
