This year was mine.  My ex stalked and tried to kill me, then took me to court and tried to have me convicted of purjury because I took him to court for child support.  And told the guy and all my friends that I had AIDS.  I sued him for slander and he's now paying me a hefty sum.

Listen, kiddo,

Life is hard. That I can't deny. You will have much rougher times throughout your life even though the times right now seem to be the toughest...Maybe they are. I remember being your age and my life was of nothing to brag. But TRUST ME and others my age...as hard and as bad as things seem, they will get better and will become easier to understand. I had a real tough childhood and teenage years, but I survived. I remained strong and determined to be who I wanted to be and who I felt in my heart I was to be as an adult. I had to work hard for it, but it was worth every effort I put forth. We're here for you whenever you need us. And believe me, I wish I had such access such as the internet when I was your age! Take advantage of it! Especially us here on the BN. Many of us have "been there, done that!"

Last year. One of my best friends triedto kill herself, I was drinking too much, I almost lost my job, and I hated life in general. This year is better though. I have a whole new group of friends and life is getting better everyday. Hope yours is too.

I dunno.

I had some bad years, but I can't say that they were all bad.  When I was growing up, my mother was an alcoholic and verbally abusive.  But at the time I thought everyone's mothers were like that.

Then my cousin died one year.

I dunno.  Hard to choose one.  Easier to choose bad things that happened in certain years.
