I may have passed through New Mexico on my way to or from somewhere else, all those years ago but if so, I don't really know of any good places to go while there. If you have any suggestions, I sure would like to hear them. Thanks for your reply, I look forward to reading all feedback, to tell you the truth, I'm sorta obsessive about doing this. I even scroll way back into the mists of past blogs to see if anyone is looking at long ago postings or if these are considered to be stale and therefore beneath their notice. I have many authors that I intend to read all of their postings when I get DSL service, out here in PODUNKVILLE!Thanks again, Guy

I will be visiting my brother and his wife who reside in or near the Santa Cruz/Santa Fe area, on "Old dump" road! Snicker, snicker. He has offered me the use of their spare car while I am there and I intend to put a lot of miles on it during my 11 day visit. Hopefully, I won't be abducted by aliens! I don't speak Mexican. Yes I know, but it isn't humorous if I had said spanish. Besides, I think that aliens only abduct ignorant, toothless, drunken hillbilly fishermen out of boats in remote lakes, if these abductees are to be believed. I will be sure to avoid remote lakes anyway, because aliens may think that all humans look alike. Cross your fingers for me, (I'm not superstious) that I arrive and return safely. I just watched "Final Destination", not the best choice of movie fare!

New Mexico: the Land of Enchantment...

Last August and September I spend a deal of in New Mexico, and it was indeed wonderful!

I also saw the Southwest once, and then did not return for many, many years... But a piece of my heart has always been there, and when I finally drove out of New Mexico over the border into Colorado last fall, there was literally a pang of sorrow... I might just have to move there.
