Enjoy your Christmas! It is celebrated here in Japan in a weird way, but although it is irritating to me that they 'don't know the true meaning of it' I really think that WOW Christmas really is a big deal for this whole 'un-Christian' country to make such a big deal of it! It is what I make it..... let the warmth and peace of Christmas abound

Justi, Just keep celebrating Christmas the way you always have and
Just keep wishing everyone Merry Christmas. If they take it the wrong way, its kind of a sign to me that they offend other people. It is usually the offenders who get offended easily.

I have been in and have also witnessed such scenarios. This response is by no way aimed at the person involved, it's just in both my experiences and whenever I have witnessed such issues, the person intent that is posing such questions or continually failing to understand your point etc, is willingly trying to draw someone or a nation for that matter into "Conflict". To me I say it is wrong to try and draw someone into conflict, so I don't get drawn, once I've explained my view a couple times etc, if I'm still faced with such an opponent, then it's discussion closed from my point. I will not be drawn into tedious or unfounded conflicts but I will discuss a point to a point where it becomes "Pointless" so to speak. A very interesting article and statement of facts Justi. Again, no personal offence is meant. Take care and have a blessed festive season.

Justi love, all my life "they" have been trying to take Christ out of
Christmas, he's still there though. I love the pagan aspect of the season, it's like two festivals rolling along side by side. But then comes the still small voice of calm as one attends the service and gives thanks for the birth of a child. A moment of peace, coming from within to, I believe, radiate out towards others. Love you darling.

...that was never my intent. And I wish everyone a Merry Christmas too! I'm not looking for salvation, in fact you don't even know if I am Christian or not. I have been extremely upset by your post of yesterday and am hoping you weren't referring to me when you said that if I don't like the political scene then I should leave your country. I don't understand what laws you are saying people want changed or holidays changed..ask a few questions and you think I want Christmas thrown out? Good heavens..come to my house and participate in our carol singing, etc. I'm really not sure how a few questions got so out of control. I am far from a confrontational person. There seems to be a lot of anger in your post and if you wanted to 'get to me' you did.

Did it sound like you? Perhaps you are right we may have misunderstood one another. We, Christians, have been taking a lot of flack for being Christian for a few years now and it is getting tiresome. We are very passionate about Christmas. Saying Merry Christmas is the best thing I can possibly say to you from my side of the fence. It says I want you to be blessed with good life and it more abundantly. I would never condemn you that is not my role in life. I can't bring you or anyone else into salvation because only God can do that. I only want to give the best I have. There are some people who call themselves Christians who have behaved foolishly, ugly and anything but Christian and it is reflection on those who haven't. For their behavior I apologize. I did not mean to offend you but I could never seem to please you with any answer none appeared to be good enough.
