Re: My beloved cat, Bonkers.

I thought that you would be sympathetic, also. You are a kind soul, Soul Builder.

Re: My friend Bonkers

Offy,

I was sure that you and Riri would understand how much emotion goes into my contemplation and angst over doing what is best for her, not me. I want to be selfish, but cannot in good conscience. Thank you,   Guy

Guy that's a real tough decision but you will know when it's time. Thank God for the animals, they give us so much pleasure and love us unconditionally...

Re: Guy

Thank you Naut,

Only another compassionate, animal lover would really understand. There is a new, mistrusting , beautiful long-haired gray cat that recently showed up, hungry and very, very wary. She shuddered when she saw me petting a young orange tiger that was very trusting and loving. The tiger was hit by a car shortly after the gray arrived. We named the gray, "Fat Cat." we couldn't tell the gender but Fat Cat kept getting fatter, so we guessed why it was always waiting for us at dinner time. For the last two days I haven't seen this cat, and I will look for kittens soon. If we are right, I bet it has lost a lot of weight but the appetite will be unchanged. Life goes on. Thanks for reading.

Guy
I really understand! We have been through that experience, with feral cats when we lived at the ege of town; with cats that were obviously lost and came to me in the streets of Toronto; a little grey cat that walked into my office in Sidney, Nova Scotia, and stayed, and nobody knew where she came from. I named her Mystery and took her with me to Toronto. And they all added to our lives, and I would not have wanted to miss a single one, in spite of the inevitable sadness of losing them in the end...
