That is the result of being the only child. You grow up far too fast. I heard every news broadcast, followed along all the things about the war. I have stories about blackout and all that. I think I will re post them for a while. Most people aren't interested but it is first hand information that I can remember. It is what I went to the refrigerator for that I can't remember.

This brings back lots of memories of not understanding what was meant by "war". There was no TV to watch it on like now. There were words I heard like "blackouts" and "bomb shelters" and "rations" and "enemy". I really didn't understand any of those because I was only about four. Mostly I remember the talk and the fears and the attitudes of the adults and I didn't really understand that either.
