If I tried writing only to placate the whims of others, when would I have time to write about a topic of iterest to me. Me. Yes, I may sound vain in my statement, then again I don't think so. I often rely on the words to the song by the late Rick Nelson "Garden Party" The song was about his bad experience while performing in Madison Square Garden and the audience booing him offstage. He later released a song which I mentioned . The line goes
"But it's all right now
I learned my lesson well
You see, ya can't please everyone
So ya got to please yourself
