Yes, I do Justi and I intend on buying a few more for gifting
Wiley's story is amazing and so well written; stirring and uplifting for any struggle through the maze of life. I appreciate you mentioning my poem; am deeply honored to have it included in this great work.

Many don't but they can. I believe the recovery establishments where there is Christian outside counseling that goes in to help is so different than others. He is not in one of those, he is in VA so I don't know what kind of care he will get. We do know the rates of those staying clean after they come out is much higher. Our society is so permeated with it that too many have a difficult time in the social environment they live in which is not drunkenness but for the alcoholic it is danger. It can simply shut down the body, so bad on the lungs, liver, heart and all the body. They can't stop on their own. If they do they wind up with anger replacing the alcohol. I don't know why I am telling you all this you are a nurse and know so much more than I. God is the best force. I will begin praying for your son too. May God bless you both.

Do you have a copy of Wiley's book. I love your poem in it. It is great. He is a courageous man. I don't think girls are less addictive you and I maybe have them that have seen enough to make them never want it. God is greater than all of it. Those recovery places where the Groups of Christians work them and Bible classes have a tremendously higher rate of men and women staying clean and leading incredible lives afterward. I pray for you often. I know you are going through hell right now, it comes to that. He has to bottom out!

Oh, Justi, What a story.
You have had more than your share of this alcohol thing. It has its hold on my Son #l and has played havoc with his health. Even though he came through the worst time for him a couple of years back and is able to work, it still has a strangle hold on him that he is not willing to fight against. I am so glad that there has been this positive step. I pray that he will win this battle.

Oh dear Justi, as you know, I live this nightmare too with my eldest son...
My youngest son is also showing some worrying signs..(my daughter, the middle child, is fine, what is it about males that seems to make them more vulnerable to addiction..?) Such tragedy you have endured; truly God is the strength and grace. Thoughts and prayers for you and yours.

Addiction illnesses are tragedies for sure. There is a light at the end of the tunnel but sometimes it is a long way to the light. God bless you.

It is a hard thing to watch a loved one suffer with an illness, knowing there is nothing that you can do, praying for them to hit bottom, praying that they will find their way back up.
I will pray that all is well for you and yours.

shalom Justi---Wow, long time coming. But God's time is not CHRNOS (our time and schedule) It is Kairos and it has arrived, like a Christmas Gift. You deserve it for your faithfulness. The suffering & losses did not lead to wekness of faith. Brava! Thank U Jesus!
