I haven't had much experience with the money kind of wealth. But, I am wealthy in many other ways that really count and I am thankful for that.

I think we tend to see business as creating economic activity; that is only half-true. The other side of the coin is that when consumers buy (cash or credit) it creates enormous economic good and activity that gives jobs not only to stores & managers (but to the credit card industry, telephone, fax, computer and paper industries, not to mention the credit bureaus and banks). Plus stamps to mail your envelopes with payment stubs or complaints and compliments.
