I can remember a time when I held down a full time job as well as a weekend job that grew into nearly full time hours.  It was necessary to take care of my family at the time.  Consider yourself fortunate to have time to write some.  When I held two jobs with so many hours there was little time left to do more than spend a little of my waking time with the family, much less to do any writing.  Still, those were happy days.  I gladly sacrificed writing ambitions to spend as much time as I could with my son during his formative years.

Thanks, FineYoungSinger
It's good to be back, albeit on a somewhat limited basis.  And thanks for the email you sent.  I've changed ISPs without updating my account with Blogit, so I just became aware of it.  I appreciate your concern.  I'm happy you've got a decent day job.  I wish you all the luck in the world on becoming a full time creative writer once you feel you can afford to take the plunge.

Thanks for reading.  It's gratifying to be read again after being away for nearly a month.  I'm looking forward to getting back into the swing of things.

I'm glad you think so, though little I do with poetry involves more than just playing around and having a little fun. If I actually tried to write a decent poem it would take me forever and it would probably be pretty awful. Believe me, I've tried -- and they were.

Great info, notapoet!
glad to see you back!  I have to say, I'm fortunate to be working in Marketing, making a decent living while keeping my writing and artistic skills up.  I look forward to the time, though, when I can ditch the day job and write full time.   Save, Save, Save, FYS!!!
