animals do dream, we have two kitties that mews in their sleep
when having nightmares, and our voices will soothe them out of the nightmare

Re: Dreaming in colors
I don't remember ever dreaming in black and white! My dreams come with colors, smells, temperature, climatic extremes of wind and precipatation, and a cast of limitless variety, both living and long dead. When I begin to feel lightened in my flying dream, my stomach gets that old familiar feeling one gets when cresting an elevated railroad crossing, "with vigor", if you know what I mean. What I wonder about is, are many coma victims experiencing a neverending dream or nightmare? Only the family gets to decide whether the dreamer is brain-dead, or if the possibility of recovery exists. To pull the plug, or not to pull the plug? What a question! End the dream? Maybe. End the nightmare? Maybe. Bankrupt the entire family? Certainly, if the family loves the comatose person enough to decide to go to heroic measures, medical care never comes cheap. We will all face questions similar to this situation, from one side or the other, eventually. BRRRRRR!   Guy
