One can never understand God's action. His way is greater than our understanding.

IS THERE A GOD WHO DOES NOT INTERFERE ?
IMO, a god who does not interfere (intercede/intrude) upon its "creations" lives, is not a god at all, but merely a totem or idol. One can worship fetishes, but any actions they may lay at the feet of their "god", lie within their own natures, as do the results of those actions. joab

I don't believe it actually has anything to do with God himself.

Yes, there is. It's called Paganism. It works with nature instead of against. I have not known anyone to kill another in the name of their God(dess).
And in many forms of Paganism, you chose your God(dess)es.

Of course, I don't consider it a "religion", but more of a spirituality.
