In the past few weeks, mneme, technology and I have grown apart - a divorce is imminent.

Isn't it much nicer when technology becomes an ally rather than the enemy - good luck with the project.

That's exactly how I feel, Whacky & Bo. One small step and all that jazz, but I'm pleased with myself for sticking it out - so far.

LOL, TAPS. You may have noticed that I don't know anything about myself. It is fascinating, but very frustrating as well.

I have been following what you have been doing but not commenting because I know nothing about it. It is fascinating to me though.

My apologies, Pat. I assumed your comments about it being handy, were about Blogit. Your memory is excellent. And you are quite right about paring down the clutter of the photographs. Less is better as far as I am concerned. The sketches were lead-ins to the CD chapters before everything went belly-up. Now I want them for a hard copy manual. The photographs have been taken and the text has been written. All I have to do now is work out the sketch part. A mere bagatelle.

I don't know how it's done yet, either, SB. When you do start, be warned that it is a long and irritating process at first.

Re: Again?
If you're going to use this technique to illustrate a how-to manual (or has my memory completely taken a wrong turn) - being able to edit a photo down to an essential sketch should help your readers handle all that information handily. Isn't that why you were going to all this trouble? Sometimes I'm a bit confused...

That is very kind of you, jacenta - above and beyond in fact. Let me try it by myself and if I get stuck (that's a laugh) I'll shout for help. Thank you very much, again.

John, I took the sketch I left for you to Image suit Editor and clicked the eraser tool and then dodge and burn. I found that the dodge and burn tool worked excellent to erase all the busy work within the photo.
I will share the entire process I used, if you wish. Have a great day.

I'm afraid so, Pat. I'm showing of my incredibly fast learning curve abilities. Please note that we now have two images of the same size - ta-da. How is it going to come in handy?
