Re: Re: Re: All the Primaries should be in June and July......
I couldn't agree more! Who would have thought that I could agree with a republican? Just kidding, of course. A
lot of people have good
clear ideas that could fix
many of the problems facing us but, as you say, it'll never happen. How sad, for us all. Guy

Re: Re: All the Primaries should be in June and July......
Ever since college days....I have been an advocate of paying Federal Employees a commission on any money they can save in their job......a department head comes up with a way to save a million dollars.....give that man 5% of what he saved.....a win win situation.....
But it will never happen.....

Re: All the Primaries should be in June and July......
From your lips, to G............Doggone it, there ought to a similar saying that
I can use with a straight face!
Anyway, you're
absolutely right! Another good idea is "zero based budgeting." Think about how
much money would be saved, if everybody had to start from scratch and justify each expenditure instead of just requesting an additional 10% above last year's appropriation. We spend millions to maintain vast warehousing facilities that store unused and never opened office equipment, spare parts for obsolete military stuff that will never be used, and the list of waste goes on and on. This was all stuff that was ordered
just before the end of the fiscal year and
if last years budget wasn't
all used up, a cut in the next budget could be expected. Government can find
enough ways to spend money, without wasting it on protecting one's own turf! Guy

Re: Hi! right back atcha!
I don't think I've ever heard from anyone in Maylasia. I'm happy to make your aquaintance. I hope you enjoy my postings, that's what this whole blog thing is all about. That and the ability to say things to others, things that need to be said. I.ve met people from Belgum, Columbia, Great Britan, New Zeeland, Ireland, India and several other countries and now I can add Maylasia to the list of places I've spoken to from my living room, via blogit. I'm delighted to meet you, Richinstore. Guy, AKA Northsage45
