freedom of thought is not free

freedom of thought is not free- mine costs about 200 per hour

I go once a week

to get it

and at the end of the hour

I write the check

and schedule my next visit

on the way home

I stop

and pick up

a prescription

that helps me from going insane

in between

appointments

it costs

another 390 dollars per month

then

I go home and put my jammies on

and crawl into the bed

and wait

till

the next appointment

knowing that

it will

all pass

and that

I am fine

because

someone

said

I was

but

in between

those

times

I pay

dearly

for the thoughts

in between the space between

my ears

none

of it free

in the least

least of all

free to think

is me©
