I'm kinda confused by the question, but I think my first reaction (horror) would be to bolt out the door to try to save her.

I would think that your reaction would/should be something similar.

If I'm understanding the real question, yes, there is a difference in an accident.  The difference being intent.

someone in Texas, USA yesterday sexualy abused and hung a little 6 year old girl. Her mother found her when she went to wake her for school and did not find her in bed. Terrible.

who could be so cruel?

Straightforward, excellent comment.

I agree with you totally about the accident. I would hurt for my loss and for the pain of the one who committed the accident, It was just that an accident. God made a provision in that he created sancturary cities for such people to live until the hurt and anger simmered down in the relatives.

As for one who abuses and kills children. There is but one answer. They murdered a child, an image of God and should die.

What is common as far as the mother is concerned,

to the two situations, one where the child is deliberately eliminated and the other where it was an accident is that the mother has lost the child. The commonality ends there but it is a big commonality.

What invariably happens is that there is the added feeling of anger when someone has done it deliberately. Given a choice, you could feel like shooting that person in retaliation. But an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth did no one no good, is what we would say. And rightly so. But we need to place ourselves in that person's shoes. So we must understand why that mother feels that way even as we may at another level not justify or advocate retaliation.

If it was an accident, I guess I would feel bad that my child is lost, but I would feel equally bad for the person filled with remorse as she or he did not intend it and yet it happened through him or her.

Troosha:
You have hit the nail on the head. Our legal system is rotten. God says it is an executable crime. A parent worth their salt says bam bam you re a dead man. A liberal judge says pat him on the head and send him through dogie obedience school. No way. A beautiful little girl was hung this morning in Texas.... I would kill that man if I were her mother.

I totally agree. Any other route is total insanity. Your 2 cents buys back humanity!

Although anyone would be deeply compelled to seek vengence (it would be a human response) unfortunately the person who would then pay the price would be the person who pulled the trigger to kill the sick bastard.  So in reality, what has been achieved?  If only we could reply on the "system" more and feel confident that justice would be served.

It's quite simple what I would do if someone hanged my child or anyone's child and I saw it...It is my moral obligation to take a bullet and put it in the head of the person doing the crime....I believe there is no other option. My 2 cents

The Christian Beliefs include all the Bible. Only one denomination rejects this as I know of but it does not hold water. We are grafted into the Hebrews of God. Numbers 35 says we are to execute anyone guilty of murder. The place where Jesus asks God to forgive them for they know not what the do is relating specifically that those who killed them have no idea they have killed God because he had to die and be resurrected to provide the forgiveness for all. Also by that time it was considered there could be fair courts. We know different. The death penalty is a commandment of God's laws.

Re: JUSTI
Read Numbers 35: In all cases of murder the murder must be executed. The new Testament is considering the murderer will have a fair trial. An accidental killing is provided for in this scripture as well. All the Bible applies to Christians. I would kill him if I saw him in the act. I would not wait for the police. I would kill him than call the police. Nobody will ever hurt my children again. A man who does not protect his home is no man. A president who does not make attempts to protect his country is no man. George Bush is a Man, a good one.

This is a Christian answer, just so you all know.

What our response should be and our actual response will more than likely be vastly different.  Christ said, "forgive them, they know not what they do."  Then again, He was God according to Christian beliefs.

We are called to respond as Christ would respond; however, being human, it is difficult in either case to forgive.  I think both incidents, if it were me, would have me torn between my beliefs and my desire for revenge.  FYS

Well I damn sure would not huge this person around the neck, dont care how old they are. In a case like this I may be wrong, becouse I love the lord as well and GOD says vengence is mine, well if that be the case let me be his dagger. It also says If a man should smite the on the left check turn to him the other also but if a man comes into your home and kills your child sleeping on the couch it don't mean go to the bedroom and get the other child as well. I agree 100% I would grab a gun which I would own if I had children or not. I would kill that piece of dirt because an unusually liberal judge may not give him the death penalty. Man has a legal, moral and spiritual obligation to protect their own. I would declare war on that barbarian. Thank you so much for your comment.

If it was my little girl, I'd want to kill the one(s) who harmed her.
I'd be doing the world a favor.
