I have found it to be the opposite. Men tend to be more unfaithful..

I agree with TAPS, you are seeing this from your side. You know it takes one of each in this sort of unfaithfulness (I assume you are talking hetrosexuals). So there is an equal number of both male and females cheating.

Afzal
I'm afraid you are looking at it from a man's point of view.

All I know is that there is a lot of unequality
and women are fighting back but this is not always a good thing.

So many questions....
..and so answers.... I really like the way this is worded.  It leaves much food for thought.

unfaithfulness stems from several root causes...

a) insecurity, the need to prove one's self attractive

b) revenge because the other betrayed him/her

c) selfishness and callous disregard for the feelings of others

d) as a bid for attention, when the romantic partner ignores him/her

and it happens because of these motivations when there is an opportunity.

IMO, women generally are more steadfast and less likely to play around, but as some philosophy teacher once told me, generalizations are usually lies.

Now there's a mind boggling question!!!!!!
I am sure the answer is as complex as the question Afzal

Afzal
This can't be answered so simply...and anyway, things probably vary by location and circumstances.

You will find that both sexes are capable of lying, cheating, keeping secrets, etc.
Not all are untrustworthy, and not all don't trust their partner.
It depends a lot on the people in the relationship.
If the relationship is good, there will be trust and truth, if not, there will be deciept and lies.
Unless one or both of the people involved have some type of mental or emotional problems...then it is hard to say.
I love you and miss you so much. I will be going in to therapy soon, and will be going home after that. I will sms you to let you know when I get home.
