My Grandmother told me that you can't legislate morality.
I believe that for the most part, people do what they think is right, regardless of the law. Unfortunately, it appears that wealth has a tendency to erode the morale fabric of the average human being, to the point of being able to do whatever they want, because they feel that is the right thing to do.
