Justi,

It is very difficult to convince you because your heart and mind is totally biased .There are others who do understand my point . Sorry, I shall never understand the reason behind your hatred .You are opting to say things which looks little disbalanced .God bless you !

Afzal
I think your  poem is very blunt.  I do not think that Muslims are callled demons in my country.  I would be ashamed to think that might be so.

it seems as if people need an enemy

back when i was a girl it was the blacks that were hated in this country, and in some places and some people still do, but now we have a new enemy, muslims.  but take heart afzal just as there were many in this country that loved their black brothers back then and still do, there are many that do not hate muslims,

i for one feel so sorry for the people of iraq and what they are going through, not enough that they had a hateful man for a leader in husain. now they are thrown into a civil war, losing loved ones daily, and terrible living conditions.

yes we are losing lives to, and i feel just as much for the mothers of sons and daughters killed and putting their lives on the line to try and help these people.

Perhaps it's because....
The  "whole bunch are nothing more than enablers through their inaction.  Were they to step forward and say ENOUGH.....maybe then they're point would gain some weight..

Re: Re: Afzal
I love you as a human being. I respect you and count you a friend; however, you are wrong in your assertions here. You are mixing oranges and apples. You are approving, in another post, of the warning of people who are acting contrary to the Koran and then that they should be ready to meet the wrath of the almighty god. That is a death threat. You are stating that Islam has the right to say who is right and who is wrong both in civil and religious or rather there is no civil excuse. You kill female family members for simple flirtations; yet you are a married man having an open affair with a woman on the internet. That is your business but the two do not balance, they are so opposed that it is barbaric. I am sorry you choose not to understand me. Osama bin Laden was not created by the US. If he was if I were you I would not want to come here. You and I will do best singular discussion one question one answer.

Afzal
God knows.  Different groups of people are targeted for different reasons it seems. Because there are a few bad ones in a crowd, people like to judge the whole bunch.

"innocent Japanese"
I guess that term would be totally determined  by whether you were sitting in a dive bomber looking down at Pearl Harbor....or on the ground trying to put your ass behind cover, wouldn't it?

Your poem....from my perspective
What have Jewish school children done?
Why Do  Militant Muslims Hate Them?

Why Are Innocent People Targeted as they shop,
worship, or wed?
Why Do Militant Muslims Hurt People?

Why Are Captives humiliated, threatened,
And Forced to Admit to Gruesome Crimes?
Under the Threat of Death by Militant Muslims?

Why Are innocent People Beheaded
Some by 16 year old boys,
that are Militant Muslims?

Why Are Christian Asians Tortured
Whether They Are Good Or Bad,
By Militant Muslims?

Why are Children as Young as 4 or 5
Paraded Around in Terrorist garb waving Rifles,
by family members that are Militant Muslims?

Why are Christian Women forcibly circumcised
in the Sudan by Militant Muslims?

Why are "Moderate Muslims" choosing to remain
Blind to the activities of those same Militant Muslims?

Why Should those same "Moderate" Muslims Expect
non-Muslims under attack to Believe their claims of
Peace, Love, and Harmony........when a day doesn't
go by on this planet that someone isn't maimed or
murdered by Militant Muslims?

Why don't Muslim Poets write poems asking why
or condemn their Radical Muslim brothers for
the heinous things they do to other human beings?

Does this possibly explain how non-muslims may,
right or wrong, look with a wary eye at the Muslim
world as a whole?

Afzal......I am not trying to be in your face or confrontational...I just want you to see how many westerners may feel the way they do........what do you think all of the peace loving  Muslims of the world should be doing to improve upon this?

Re: Afzal
Justi,

Islam is not a barbaric religion . I think there are some dangerous elements in every society and that does make the whole society bad . There are bad elements in every religion but that doesn't make the religion bad . If I or any could argue that US used the first Nucluer bombs in this world and killed lacks of innocent Japanese did it make Christiaty a barbaric religion. No , not so it could not be the work of any good religion but bad people at the helms of affairs .

I think my friend is biased against the Muslims so you cannot see straight anything in right perspective . All the Muslims do not support the Taliban or any other extremest groups but only few of them are allowed political leverage by the ruling groups . Osama Bin Laden was the creation of US . Saddam Hussain was a good friend of US until he revolted .It is the bad foreign police of US which has created this situation around the world .

Afzal
We don't hate Muslims we hate their acts. Look at 14 Christian Koreans who went to Afganistan only to help the needy. Because of their religion two were beheaded. We see former Muslims telling of their childhoods of training for suicide killing, we see the videos that actually come from Islamic countries where little children as small as four and five are told Jews are pigs and were monkeys and turned into Jews. Where they are told to kill infidels so you can go to heaven. We see presidents of Islamic countries stand up and declare extinction to the US and Jews. We remember all those on an airline in Scotland blown up because they hated the US. We remember the Twin Towers, those were innocent people. We se the plane in Penn all killed but it was headed for the White House in the USA those were innocent people. Infidel is not a sweet name. Anyone who is killing from hatred is doing so at the command of demonic behavior it is evil. Iran just out of the blue in 1979 stormed our embassy (which was there with permission) and kept our citizens for over a year. Islam is a bloody religion. You blew up our barracks filled with sleeping soilders in Lebanon. Shall I go on? Mainly we hate the cowardice behind it all. Iran sent little boys thousands upon thousands to the front lines of Iraq to be killed until the Iraquis gave up shooting the children. We have nothing in our language or lifestyles that will ever be so evil. We experience murder, rape etc., but it is from individuals and they are punished by law. Islam is a barbaric religion. You are a moderate and you are supporting it. So we ask why are we to allow moderates into our country when they promote killing the evil and they are those who decide who is evil withou crime even?

It's a shame that people lump religious groups or races, etc., together.  It isn't very smart though, in this instance, I would hope you could understand why Muslims are treated with wariness.

We've all seen the training films for terrorism and how the Muslims in those are brainwashed.  We know that a lot of those same terrorists are living in our midst among those of you who are wonderful, peaceful, loving people.  We don't know how to pick them out and it is frightening.

I don't believe that most people, though, hate you all.  None of us should hate anyone and to love our enemies is one of the greatest things we can do.  I won't get into all of that right now, but know that you, Afzal, are very loved and respected by your fellow bloggers and, I suspect, a lot of other people, too.

and it is sad to see people lose their sense of what is right and not, no matter from what background ...
