There is nothing more horrifying than seeing your loved one's grave in
disarray - I would be most upset to see my mother's grave unkempt - it's a matter of final respect and dignity

It's the same as leaving flowers and clearing away vandalism. Its a sign of respect for the departed.

Sweetie, sometimes people have a hard time letting go, and they believe that their friends/relatives are there, or they can feel them best there.
It's kind of like taking care of a sick relative who can't take care of themselves.
