Good, .Dave.
One of us, I'm not sure which, is getting better at this. And the game was donkey basketball. Next to team tiddlywinks, it's got to be the best team sport in the world. If y'all don't have it yet, we'll have to export it your way posthaste.

I understood that one. Apart from ballgames. Was it croquet or swingball?

Thanks, Offy
Avoiding the blues and enjoying small pleasures did indeed make my weekend. I'll be working on your birthday, and the day after. So I'll wish you a "Happy Birthday" now and try to find time to reinforce that thought when the event rolls around.

Happy birthday, Soul_Builder
Enjoy your day off. All of us need a break on occasion. I've enjoyed mine. Alas, it's back to the grind tomorrow.

Thank you very much. I like that analogy of having a cup of coffee with a good friend. That has to be one of the best of life's small pleasures.

I am happy for you
Hey not having the horrible freeze up is one thing, but not getting down on a day that you have in the past is quite another...I was moving alll weekend and my birthday is the 30th, very close so we Virgo's are fairly easy to please especially with no funk or freeze!!!

Today is my birthday... spent doing heavy lifting and 'moves'. EFF the corporations...tomorrow I am taking OFF!

I liked that post. Satisfaction with what you're doing, well told.
I like days like you described, and the comments you left on my own postings were interesting and sound. They leave a nice feeling behind -- kinda like a cup of coffee with a friend. :)

And while you're at it...
tell him the strange old geezer wishing him "Happy Birthday" isn't the best speller in the world.

For me that day
has good connotations. My son's birthday.
