I hear you. What I thought was disturbing about these particular parents are that they could be in charge of someones child other than their own and they can't remember their own. I can't believe that for a minute. A child is just too terrific to forget for very long even if they are not on their best behavior they are so special.

I don't have kids of my own (hopefully someday) but I have a nephew and a niece and I KNOW when they are in the car with me and they are never out of sight for more than a few seconds. I even adjust the rear view and side view mirrors so I can look at them in the back seat of the car. What these people do . . . I think you should have to be licsensed to pe a parent. Some people just don't make the grade.

This happens every summer and each time I hear about one of these
unbelievable tragedies, like you, I simply cannot fathom it, Justi.
I bet both women remembered to take their purses, satchels, whatever..but their child was forgotten?? Really scary to think about all the homes where children are thought so little of...sends a chill on this blistering day.
