afzal good questions,
are not emotional surges good things? especially when it comes to love. i agree with frankenkitty, emotional surges move us along. love isnt always rational, but it is still good.
about immediate gains, as opposed to long term benefits. it would depend on the circumstances of the individual as to which would be best. certainly if you have cancer, and you dont know if you will be cured, you might think immediate gains would be the way to go.
wouldnt short sightedness make us think solutions are just illusions. maybe only the short sighted ever have peace in this life. solutions are alot of hard work. even solutions that we think do not exist today will exist someday, but will not be found by the short sighted.
