Hi, Tony
I wasn't aware of this '02 remix, but then I've been pretty much out of the pop music scene since the late eighties when I gave up the ghost of my stereo and record store.  I looked it up in my Whitburn "Record Research" series.  You're right.  It was the B side of "Almost in Love," released in late 1968.  It only made it to #69 on the Billboard charts.  But it did better than the A side which charted for just two weeks.  Both were from the movie "Live a Little, Love a Little."  I love my old music references.  Unfortunately I only have a few left and they are up to date only through 1982.  Anything after that requires me to do a lot of digging.

Yes, and he was number one in the UK in 2002 with a remix of
A Little Less Conversation, which i think was originally a B-side fromthe late sixties. I've haven't heard much of his mid to late 60s material. I think a compilation is overdue of this lesser-known stuff. There were many songs looking at his discography on Wikipedia that I've never heard. One tends to get the rockn roll stuff, the early 60s pop, and then nothing till 1969.

Straightforward
Yes, but understandable when we have been so close to death so many times.  After a while only the passing of close friends and family have that much impact other than regret than an admired one is no longer with us.

Isn't it strange how we are immunised to certain situations?

Thanks, NAJWA
I'm pleased you were touched by my little multi-part tribute to The King.  I am in awe of the impact he made throughout the world, and of the reverence for his talent that still exists.
