I do appreciate your thoughts. Our infrastructure has been in bad shape long before the war. Our politicians are more interested in getting a lifetime job of high profile and all sorts of other benefits than to really do what is right. Therefore the back stuid things their voters want; example a highway in Alaska that goes nowhere for 200,000,000.These bridges were needing repair and it was reported when Clinton was president. The congress here has taken to idiocy. Thanks for you kindness.

I have watched the video of the bridge falling down more than a dozen times and i still can't believe my eyes. what is the guarantee that no other bridges will collapse in the same way? I know politicians are not prophets, they have no knowledge of the future, but is it really possible that they let infrastructure rot without thinking of repairing it while building new bridges and highways and yes waging wars and giving aid ! If the USA can't find the funds to mend its bridges what would the situation be in poorer and/or corrupt countries

Worse than sending money to other countries...
we're spending money we don't have to send our own armies to a war whose merits are questionable at best... The trillions we've spent on the war could fix quite a few bridges.
