I agree, Offy
It is sad but true. I wish it were otherwise. Wouldn't it be nice if we had a Blogit magazine or journal where the very best posts could be deposited for a while to be enjoyed for more than just a few hours and by more than a few readers?

Actually, I enjoy long if they are focused and well written. I wish I could say all my ramblings were that. You on the other hand -- I linked to your "Of the People" post in my Everything Else blog. I thought more people ought to take a look at it. I hope you don't mind.

Long posts do not have longevity..Sad but true. Sometimes we miss the best writers by not reading the longest...

Good idea! I get much better comments when I manage to stop
wandering among topics and focus on one issue or idea per blog. And I appreciate blogs that are focused -- less confusing to me. Thanks for your visit to "of the People" and your comment. Ring that liberty bell!

It's a hard habit to break, but you're right. A lot of our fellow bloggers seem to prefer the shorter, easily digestible posts. Besides, keeping 'em short even when it takes a little revision is good practice for the book most of us are working on.

I need to do likewise. I have noticed that my posts are getting longer and longer and I know that is not good. People take one look at the length of posts and move on without reading.
