I did a quick search and found that Knox has been bought by Kraft.
http://www.kraftfoods.com/knox/

Most of the gelatin I get are from components of other processed foods. Like candy gums, some canned soups etc. Good-night.

Did you ever get your nail polish?

Yes, safe with me:) I was thinking, though, how the child connected it with love. To me it means they speak your name lovingly, whether it's a child's or a grown-up's  - though the little ones do try our patience sometimes! (So do the big ones..!)

Gelatin does absorb water. When it is ingested, the consumer will drink water and feel bloated enough not to eat real food. That is good for a moderate amount of dieting. I lost weight while on a fruit diet. But it remains to be seen if I can lose more weight beyond the plateau.

I bought groceries and other stuff for my family but forgot my nail polish. Its taking me a while to buy nail polish.  (I'm laughing at myself).

Hey, Rcky, I was just over visiting you.  I love your picture.  You had better stop rushing around like that, it's not healthy.

My next to oldest brother

My next to oldest brother died from a chainsaw accident in 1997.  He was 73 at the time.  My oldest brother will be 86 in November.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Maggie Mae these are wonderful.

Yes, I had noticed that you two are sisters, and I think that she may have told me as well.  I am not overly close to them, but we do get along pretty well.  We don't visit, but we do get along when we see one another and usually send Christmas cards to one another and some of us send birthday cards as well.

My brother that was three years older than me died of cancer when he was 46 in 1989.  I was closer to him than any of the others.

Mae is almost two years younger than me.

I am the only writer in my  family.

Somehow, I feel happier and safe in your prayers.  Only 22 hours to go now before we leave.  I will miss talking to you a lot and I will think of you often, I know.  You take good care of you while I am away.

Your Baby is sitting as close to me right now as she can as I type.  My son will take good care of her and of all the rest, be assured.  Baby just sneezed on my leg.   hahahaha

Goodbye, for now my friend or as my mother would say instead, so long for now (she never says goodbye).

Re: Re: Re: Maggie Mae these are wonderful.

Damond, did I tell you that my mother had 13 children?  She had ten daughters and 3 sons, of those 3 sons there was a set of twins, one of which has passed three years ago.  Also our oldest brother is deceased.  We also have a sister who has passed on.  There are 10 of us still living,

Are you close with your brothers a nd sisters, Damond?  I'm not, except for one, Offy.  Did you know that Offy is my sister?  Do you know Offy - she's a blogger too.

Thank you for sharing your family with me.  I'm sure we will talk again.

Oh my, a whole month without jacentq.  We are sure gonna miss you, girl.  if you're going to visit with your  children though, that's awesome.  I'll be here when you get back and praying  for your safe travel.  God will keep you safe, jacenta.

I come from a large family. I have four sisters; my younest is named Ethel Mae.  I had five brothers, which means ten of us made it to adulthood, but two brothers have now since 1989.

Seeing that you have the name Mae too I thought you might be interested.

I would like to meet you face to face someday, Maggie.  I'd like to take you out to a fancy restaurant and let you order anything you want.  I'd like to let you meet my hubby and everyone of my children.  You never know, maybe I will, the way we travel all over.  Maybe someday.......My sweet MaggieMae.  Tell Don I said, "hi."

My son said today, "Mom, you really like this MaggieMae, don't you?"  I said, "Yup."                          ps.  If things go as planned, I will be gone for maybe a month, within 36 hours.  It is my husband's dream to go to Sturgis and I am excited about seeing two of my sons and family.  It is a lot of miles.  Pray, MaggieMae.   Now, I have tears in my eyes.

Re:

Well, (A), when I was a young girl it was believed that the gelatin in jello and other sources was healthly for the nails and hair.  My mom used to buy me Knox gelaltin by the box.  Well, that's been researched by me tonight and apparently there are dietetians who no longer agree.  i drank all that gelatin and ate all that jello for nothing. hahaha  I guess times change, huh?

Talk to you later, honey.

posted by MaggieMae on July 30, 2007 at 5:21 PM | link to this | reply

What's in jello exactly that nourishes nails?

That sounds like a good diet supplement or meal replacement for losing weight.

Good morning. Thanks for the suggestions here and at the Scrabble. They are good. A lighter color is more modest. The darker color is for hiding imperfections.

Little children can be so perceptive to other's feelings.  They most often display the behavior toward other's that they are taught by example.  Give them much love and they in turn show that love to other's.  They learn much of what they are shown by example.  That last one is so special.

I remember one Valentine's Day when one of my son's woke up for school, he came over to me to give me a precious hug and with the most serious eyes, he asked, "Mommy, will you be my Valentine?"

I hope you are feeling better, Maggie.

Yeah, me too TAPS.  I know my kids came out with some good ones.  They gave us a lot of laughter.  Why do we always have hindsight and no foresight?  I'm like you, I've forgotten them.  But, then, who would have thought at that time that computers and Blogit were in the future?
