Im not a big reader lately

I just dont have the time I use to have to read a book and devour it....Im actually looking forward to finally reading my new Jackie Collins novel lol...she is a guilty pleasure....I love true stories too...I use to clean out the library of the true crime stories...I love biographies too...I tend to watch more movies or TV shows these days they are quick and fit into a time schedule lol...I love reading peoples opinions on different situations especially if they are different from mine...I love to hear opposing thoughts...it makes you think.  Im not a big fan of preachy stuff thou...I love to hear who believes in God or a Higher Power whatever you wish to call it...but I dont wanna hear how you need to believe certain things if you believe in God...Im very anti religion...it just doesnt make sense to me since my God doesnt judge you for being different.

Blessed Be

I think you just about covered it..:) What I have just read, and loved, was Words in a French Life, by Kristin Espinasse. Completely charming.

Excellent post and quote, MadamShyness!..that's my list too..lol
I'd only add investigative, reporting type of writings on current events. David Pelzer is a miracle living, teaching, reaching. Thank you for sharing.

i love books! Anything but crime drama or love stories. I tend to stay away from super trendy stuff but a few books I've fallen for have become pop culture popular...

Madam Shyness
I like personal stuff about ordinary people who work on it until they make it out of their problems. I am not a seeker of celebrity or such. I like human suffering and victory.

wow, you like the same things I like. you know when people come back from
a wedding or funeral I just hate it when they are vague.  like my hubby will say.it was a nice funeral.  and thats the sum total.  I want to know if so and so still talks too loudly or misbehaved with his small bottles of vodka in his pocket . or did the singer sing like a dream etc.  details details, and human interest stories.  In new Zealand its now 10.50am friday morning.  garbage gets collected today.  We are freezing as its winter and our beautiful dormant volcanic mountain is covered in snow.  Im not sure if skiiing season has started yet.  I should be cleaning my house instead of blogging but Ive not blogged for days I figure I deserve this time out.  my 11year old is home again for the third time this week with a headache. maybe I should stop being annoyed with him and take him to doctor. I had a toasted sandwhich with cheese, chicken and baked beans for breakfast. And even though its winter my family and I have been invited to a barbecue at our closest friends house tonight.(shes Singaporian and he is Malaysian)as his sister and her family are visiting from dubai.  Enough detail??Thats what I like to know

You name it and I probably read it
except for Science Fiction.  I just can't get into it.  I love mystery and history the most.

Madam, I prefer to read a lot of stuff, but mostly what people are up to
I don't really like to read poetry (even though I adore you I rarely read yours even!) I love to read your journal and stories about your kids. I also like the pictures of the kids and stuff.

Wow....me I'm a mass of moods,
and what I like depends a lot on what mood. I hate horror, graphic stuff all the blood an gore, I can't watch it. I also hate ignorant humor...stupidity taped and called art, give me romance, make me cry or laugh and you got a winner with me.

Actually, Ariala asked us to post pictures of ourselves.  I think that is what got some of the unnecessary interest coming.   Actually, Ariala asked us to post pictures of ourselves. I think that is what got some of the unnecessary interest coming.

I like triumph over adversity - truth or fiction. To see the good guys win.
