I think pain and suffering, if handled properly, can help remind us that we're alive - and be happy about it! If we were in a state of joy, all the time, I suspect we'd eventually fall into a complacent, almost dream-like state...

OTA is right. We can't make a decision to have Peace. We must have God in us by invitation from us and live like that. However, unless all have that then none will be away from the life happening upon this earth. We can each have peace in our being when all around us is waring.
