we have always had our washing machines in our kitchens.

the only time I knew any different was when I lived in a refuge...they had a laundry room....but they were huge industrial ones.

I had lamanated flooring in old place, would have been perfect....I know! how about we break in there and we have the party there instead?

if not....we can always put, um, what they called?...um....er....erm...oh yeah "dust sheets" on the floor, although that wont stop the cigarette burns....must get a no smoking sign...everybody should be getting use to that now in England anyways....LOL
