Re: Bush is not shallow but cruel .

Cruel?  Like, videotaping the decapitation of journalists?  Mutilating and decapitating soldiers of the opposing force?  Annihilating entire villages?  Strapping a suicide vest onto a child and telling him that if he runs into a crowded marketplace and presses "that button there", the vest will spray flowers?  Or, leaving children unattended in a car and then blowing it up?  Or, perhaps, just by indoctrinating children into a culture of hate?

We are facing a global crisis against a ruthless enemy that will stop at nothing.  We cannot afford to lose.

On a side note, have you ever seen the movie "Black Robe?"  It's about Christian missionairies in America, back when it was still the "New World."  The missionairies are going around trying to convert the local tribes to Christianity.  They succeed.  One tribe converts so completely, they refuse to fight back when they are attacked by another tribe living nearby.  This other tribe, takes their pacificism as a sign of weakness and wipes them out.  As far as I know, the movie is actually based on historical facts.  The point: pacificism works only when you are dealing with civilized people.

Ron Paul's a Bit Loony for Me
In the dark, a coiled rope on the ground and a coiled snake can appear identical.  The idea is, to know which is which, and act accordingly.  Ron Paul does not know; though he honestly thinks he does.  I would not choose to have him "show me the way", so to speak.  joab

I don't think anyone deserves to have a terrorist attack regardless of what they're doing. But I also don't think anyone has the right to be in another's country trying to stop wars there. Our soldiers are standing in battle, fighting with america. I think it's a waste of money and time. But I don't think bush would facilitate something like that either. It's pretty damn shallow
