Thank you so very much for your comment. If you noticed I said in the very beginning I was not against the Catholic Body. The body of believers are just like any other believers in my mind. I am not nor have I been anti-Catholic. I am anti Catholic Papacy and particularly when the Pope said last week that all the Protestant churches were inferior and not really Christians. My age and physical health did not miss that point. It is a time in the world when there is enough hatred toward Christians for him to come out and make such a statement. I am sorry I offended you. I hope you will forgive me. You be blessed.

Correction!
Margaret Sanger was not a Protestant - like any good little Nazi - she was a devout Atheist - I sincerely apologize for the misinformation.

Hitler was raised as a boy in the Catholic faith - he was not a practicing Catholic when he grew up - Nazis are/were atheists, just like Communists - many Catholics died, protecting Jews - and despite what you hear from the left-wing, anti-Catholic media, Pope Pius the XII was not a Nazi sympathizer. It's true, birth control was not mentioned in the bible - I'm sorry your mind is so small, that you can't tolerate more than one version of Christianity - but in the Catholic version, (St.) Peter, one of the 12 Apostles, became the 1st Pope of the Catholic Church - a lot of terrible things have been committed by Catholics, Protestants, Jews, - but that's because they were not practicing their religion, truly. I know you are old and sick - and you grew up in a period, when it was fashionable to be anti-Catholic, as well as anti-semitic. I know you said you're not anti-semitic - now, you should try to stop being anti-Catholic. I challenge you to find two more compassionate, God-loving people than my (Catholic) mother and father (R.I.P.) And may I suggest a book? The Politically Incorrect Guide to the Crusades - I can't remember the author, at the moment, but I'd be happy to look it up for you...I'm going to post an article on Margaret Sanger, the Protestant founder of the early birth control movement in the U.S. - now she was a true Nazi, and proud supporter of the KKK, who's view on Catholics are (sadly), similar to yours...

That is the truth. I would like some stats on all the church owned property in this country and the amount of the tax deduction for it. Thank you for your comment. I am totally a Christian not a tare, or one with itching ears to hear only what I want instead of what God says. Be blessed.

Great post. These days the church seems more interested in real estate!

So good to see you. I agree with you, these days it is difficult to get a straight sermon. One must stay in the Word all the time to get what it really means and live by it to get to where He says we can be right here on this earth. God bless you dear one.

Hi, Justi,

Just stopping by, and found a good read here.

I didn't know what the Pope had said, but I did expect that it was something very controversial and possibly poisonous to "blind" followers who have never picked up a bible in their lives.  I too, read my Holy Bible every day, and I'm still learning, but I often have debates with people who live to spew off things that I know for certain are not in there, because I've read the Good Book for myself.  God bless us all.  Such statements of the Pope are not a good way to lead people to God, but only serves to cause dissention and division among people who geniunely may not know any better.  We already have more than enough of that in this world.

reading this I am so relieved that I turned my back on organised
Church all those years ago. I love God, I am a Christian but I try to live it not sit it in a church full of bigots like this man must be. My church is evrywhere.....must be a poem in that~ Bye

I know what you mean. I would never have addressed it but that is going too far. Love you lady, thank you for coming to my post.

Justi, how did I miss that????????? Wow!

I had my grandchildren and did not watch the news.   I'm having a hard time swallowing it, maybe I'll never get it down.  My beloved Pope Paul would never make such a statement.  What's wrong with this man, he can't say such things.  Ohhhhhh!  I'm angry.

Good post, dear lady.  I'm glad to know you're feeling better.  I missed you.

Thank you for reading and posting. I would never have posted this until the Pope came out with a statement that brings enmity down on all Christians. You are right the Reformation is the first opportunity man had at freedom of religion. Now that a Bible can be purchased and read I believe each on is responsible for reading it himself. Thank you for your comment and be blessed.

Justi, I'm with you on this...thank God for the Protestant Reformation and

the freedom from the bondage of false theology based on man's word, not God's.  I wrote about this in my posts in religion in recent days.  Good job! Thanks!

From a former Catholic

I wholeheartedly agree with you. It was no help that the Pope made a world wide declaration last week that The Catholic church was the only church and the Protestant church was not Christian. He said a lot more but it was a very bad message. He plans to reinstate the sermons to Latin, such a comfortable way to deceive people.

Yes he was. I don't go after any Christian concepts I usually simply abide by my own. But the Pope put out the word last week that Protestant churches were inferior to the Catholic. That the Catholic church was the real church and not the Protestant. I wanted to put some real information out on that. This will cause a lot more persecution on Christians because he made this statement. It was a very bad move. I think it is time to begin completing those books. LOL

I heard the statement.......
and thought.........why?  This is a time for all Christians to be united.........not driving wedges between our differing denominations........our enemy is certain more united........

Lot of strange things in this world in the name of Christianity.  No wonder non-believers become confused about religion.

Very interesting post, Justi..
I didn't know Hitler was Catholic. I have personal problems with the Church; my mother and her family are staunch believers/members. My father and his family Protestant..never did the twain meet. Gave me in depth, unique material for a story idea, though. Still working on that one, (tentatively titled "War of the Christians.") along with my 10 or so other ideas for novels, lol. Thank you for sharing this, dear Lady! Hope you are feeling well.
