I can honestly say, I don't know...
But then, I have no clue who Rousseau is, though this piece does seem to provoke some thoughts about myself as a writer.  Hmmm.

IMO it is impossible for a true writer to conceal the soul and its anguish; sooner or later, both are revealed.  On the other hand, a dilettante can flit from one bud to the other, and when they have left it's the blossom that is the loser -- and more sadly . . .  no one is the wiser.  joab
