Chris thanx 4 appreciating tribute to Ladybird Johnson, Conservationist &
what touches me about her was her almost perfect wifely teamwork with lBJ. She was ready to offer advice, criticism...but with enough love that the big guy (and MR. Prez, who really deserves this great Amewrican title) ...simply became a huge teddy bear. She left us wildflowers....I feel so grateful to Mrs. Johnson, a truye First Lady! shalomfromNeil

I'm extra pleased to hear/see them from you as twice today-I have been called 'naive'-and almost silly-for taking her in--but something told me she needed a little 'trusting' and 'caring'! I know we live in a pretty dangerous world now-but-I strongly believe that we have to-if able-extend a welcoming hand-if gut instincts say there is a genuine need! I just found her 'wanting'-lonely and very sad! God bless-Shalom-(and listen to this-her home in Ireland is called-waite for it-"Shalom" she pronounces it "Shalome"-maybe her accent!)Chris.

What makes this wonderful for me - also reminds me of my assets & failures-
is that I believe the motto: It is far better to befriend and greet a stranger than only the people we know already. YOu have made a wonderful discovery because U did not approach the "other": with fear, distrust & a negative imagination.
