Spine and nervous you do make me~
Spine of nerves
You do make me, you make me
first, and spend more time on only me,
before all the other parts, you
breath life into me, making me so strong
that I can handle nearly anything
that may come my way- and still you quiz
me year after year- and test me
and grade me, like I am yours to grade
and test, but I resist- because I have
more fun in my other lobes where life
is less complex.
I do best on the food they call
"brain" food, and gee I wonder why?
Oh could it be, because I rest here
behind the eye?
Maybe, who knows, maybe I am a brain
in charge of just a few
more things than riddles living
in my skull. My home is filled
with a million zillion cells or so
that people probe at trying to get
to all that I know-
but there is only one way in
and one way out
and you must ask me nicely
or I will just look right at you
and ask you if your insane-
