We feel sad because we feel like we are "losing" them.
Since when they move to another plane, mostly we can't see them anymore, we feel they are gone.

Good morning sweetie. I've missed you.

Why do we cry over transition of soul from one world to another ?

Rame is correct.  Also, I think that the moment of someone's death, we suddenly "realize" at the very deepest core of our being -- that we are now, and always, have been ultimatley alone and to ward off that dread chill, we created -- what now are classified as "religions"; sustainable to the preachable, but unfathomable essence of what we term...humanity.

Why do we weep?  God can only know.  j

In my case, I cry because, though I'm happy for them that they will never have any pain or hurt again and they are with God, I am selfish and I miss them terribly.
