Where have the great prophets ,philosopher ,scientists ,and rulers gone ?

In the begining was the Word.  And the Word was with God.  And the word was God.  Thus the Logo and man's enlightenmemt (slowly out of the primal soup).  And man's  quest(ioned) for his own identity was his primary search.  Discpvery after discovery; hypothesis strengthed to a truism trough public debate.

Where are we to find such ignorant and unenlightened men today, when all about us there are those claim to have the answers?

When are we going to admit that we are ignorant about most things, and we sit on the tombstones of those intellects past and deal in prophesies?

Hello Afzal - or maybe we've all just learnt so much that individuals
no longer have as great an impact? But then again, in real time, many people do have more impact than they used to. A few centuries ago, even the great leaders were never seen or heard, or even heard about, by most of the world's population. Now, we are all familiar with so many so-called famous people, whether they are great, or admirable or neither. Perhaps that's why individuals stand out less - because there are now so many of them in our consciousness?

Maybe we need to be that for one or two people in our own lives and
eventually it grows to a collective change globally.

That's because the past started a second ago

It's improbable to easily notice who is changing our world, and who is just along for the ride.

The changes may not seem as dramatic, but I would think much the same could be said of great people like Jesus of Nazareth, Buddha and Ghandi. Mother Theresa did great things, who knows what the effect of her compassion will be until we put a few centuries between then and now.

Maybe because humility has disappeared. Now everyone thinks they are that someone the world needs to listen to. No one will listen to the truly worthy if everyone is shouting out for the focus to be on themselves, as he speaks...
