Greenfields
Like you, I preferred other works. The first I read was Patchwork Planet.

Great.  Do you think this book is different from the others?  I mean the older ones?

I haven't read any of her books for a long time.  Maybe it's time to start again.

Greenfields - I've never read Tyler, but this book sounds interesting.
My best girlfriend lives 11 miles south of Baltimore in Columbia.  I've been through the area many times picking up I-95 there.  Sheesh, I wish I could have your post in front of me because there was much I wanted to say.  Multi-cultural relationships of any sort are very dear to me for many reasons.  Canada is a multi-cultural society and it's absolutely fascinating to me.  Our country is so huge with so much room and it constantly amazes me to 'cross' cultural barriers within my own borders.  I shall look this author up in the library upon my return home and perhaps I'll purchase it on my trip to South Africa.  BTW, Chili has a message in my blog tonight.

yes, it did.  I too love it when a book does that.

Sounds like Morgan's Passing really left an imprint on you.  I love when a book does that.
