The reason it took so long to find a place to live

Is I insist on keeping my 15 year old beagle with me.  She has been my joy bringer for many years and I want to spend the end of her life with her.

You do a job that is bound to earn you a free ticket to heaven.

I'll tell you something right now. My two tommies share my double bed with me every night. I love them to bits. I will never get rid my putty cats, and me next boyfriend will have to learn to share the bed or sleep on the couch

My son works at the local airport and he says there was a tiny kitty running all over, he tried to catch it but it was too fast.  He was wondering how it got there.  People traveling may have left it.  Who knows.  He felt like he did when he was a little boy and wanted to bring all strays home with him.

rescues are not sanctuary
You are doing a great job. People should consider carefully before buying a pet and when they do make a lifelong committment.

In my former state I volunteered at the humane society
for years as a cat socializer, even though every time I left I was literally in tears, feeling so sad for the animals that got dumped. Abandoning a senior animal companion that you have had for so many years is in my mind, one of the cruelest things to do. It's unconscionable.

riri - My oh my. A conundrum for sure. This must be very difficult work
especially with the 'senior' kitties.  How if ever, do you find homes for them.  God Bless You.
