- Go to Why do so many people hate Christians?
Soterios - I agree 100% with your comment but feel it important to add that
in fairness, the foibles you describe are true of all organized religions.
Human nature is the biggest determinent factor as to why this is so. Within the majority of mankind harboring a strong desire for their to be a God, certain machinations of manipulating collective thought take place. It starts with the indoctrination process, continues with societal pressures and peer re-affirmation, to ultimately produce the prevailing mentality that you describe so well in your comment.

scriber = true of any religion, one would be hard pressed to find a single
person outside of that religion that "loves" them.

I think we should install a voting button to test that one...

Bubblegum Christianity
I believe Christians are hated because they don't provide intelligent people with answers, nor can they because they are not really looking for them themselves.
Unfortunately most give themselves a bad name because they think they are somehow morally superior because of what they believe and think they know.
Most of them unfortunately have their heads in the sand and when you invite them to look at the roots of their faith they simply cannot argue their point. This usually results in defensiveness and continued book thumping. Usually they say things like..."Well that's what it says in my bible..."
Whatever scares them, they shy away from. Instead of confronting fear and learn something which might perhaps deepend their faith, they instead surround themselves with people who tell them what their itching ears want to hear.
Some of the worst examples are actively preaching the gospel and have turned it in to a lucrative business venture.
They do not enter themselves and block access to those trying to enter.

Jaahda - I'm not quite sure what you mean by "..change the links in
my comments section."
Unless you are speaking of the link to my comments section which now says "Share the luv" . . . that is merely a text link but changing it (or changing anything in your blog template) depends on which Blogit subscription plan you are on. From what I understand, those on the basic plan do not have access to their blog template code. There are also two types of formats being used by Blogit, your relatively recent sign up will have you using xsl format while older memberships such as mine are using an aspx format.

Chilitree - but that is the point - I don't perceive a Christian God, there
is no one up there.
Since I do not believe that a traditionally defined conscious creator being exists, my posts have been almost exclusively about the ill mannered behaviour of his fan club members.

I really do not know the Christian God you perceive ... sorry, I just do
not understand ... but I will endeavour to read and contemplate your posts more, and after a while I will respond. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!
