thank you for sharing out your mother. Yes, we are all feel guilty- a useless and de-energinsg emotion. But, eventually we ocme through it. And, yes, we are wiser after th eevent, but we learn for the future.

This is a lovely tribute to a man you obviously loved very much.
I love this post as it reminds me of my mum and when she got a stroke. How suddenly our lives changed ,when this strong, happy ,funny, brave woman became sick, dependant and unhappy. I felt alot of guilt after she died thinking of how much more I could have done. But IO learnt we do the best we can under the circumstances. It is always possible to be wiser after the event.

Thank you Whacky
I agree. Who needs the bad memories anyway? Like I said, I made my peace with them, as well as him. Cheers.

It's always best to keep the good memories and let the rest fade.
I miss my daddy especially on father's day.

Actually I posted it this morning (we are 10+ hours ahead of you), so no issue. Thanks for the compliment. It was very tough not giving in to what my mother wanted. But, deep down Ihad complete clarity that it would not work for me. And, my mother had her own issues, as you can imagine. Thisis the first time I have written about it and there is so much more to be said. Slowly! Cheers.

My apologies for missing this one yesterday. Yes, when we do our best, we have succeeded. In retrospect maybe it was a very good decision to not move home as he lived with his disease for 15 years. Poor man. Gosh, that's a long time. Lovely, lovely post.
