Hi Kiddo,

Thanks for your comment.  I just read your post about your poor dog.  I am so sorry for your loss.  I say, go ahead and cry for her all you want to.  In February, I had to let my eleven year old Diabetic cat go to sleep.  He'd been sick since the age of seven, and in the end, kidney failure took him.

Much as it hurt like hell to say goodbye, I knew it would have been cruel to keep him here with me any longer.  So, I told him how much I love him and always will.  I told him he'd picked a good day to go to heaven and that it was okay.

I know your Maggie Mae is in heaven now with my Meeko.  God has a place for all his creatures, and those who torture and or kill them needlessly will get what they deserve.

I hope you find another dog soon, and I hope you and your children are okay.

I recently lost my little Maggie Mae. She was running after my father in
law's car and he didn't see her.  My son saw her get hit, my daughter ran out after the fact and saw her poor little body limp under the wheel.  Maggie was the most special dog I have ever had.  I loved that baby like I loved my own kids.  She loved my kids, played with them, and that was what really made her special.  When I got the call that she was dead, I literally fell on the floor gasping for air.  I hadn't seen her in 2 weeks bc she was staying with my kids at my inlaws.  I was supposed to get her and the kids back that day.  I was miserable without her, and I didn't even get to say good bye.  I have been told "It's just a damn dog" by so many that are sick of me crying about her.  But she wasn't "Just a dog".  She was my best and really only friend.  She went everywhere with me, slept with me, licked my tears when I was sad.  Wouldn't let anyone near me.  Now she's gone.  People who think dogs or animals are beneath us or put here to torture for their sick needs of sorts, will rot in hell.

I just read your dog post too....they're not truly human if they can do such a callous act. That's just cowardly.

Yes, it's a tough shake when you dwell on the worst potentials of humanity. And the trouble is that the News loves that part. You don't get many news stories about the rest of humanity who are doing great jobs.

That is why there are people in rescue like you-- to counterbalance
the utter cruelty of some people.

Re:
I am a big animal lover and it sickens me also, but think those people that did that could be out there shoting innocent children, like the weirdo at the college and other schools.  If they can kill an animal they can kill people.  Anyone is capable of murder, they are taking their anger out on an animal instead of a person.

Hello lustorlove...

I hope you won't take this the wrong way, either, but as far as I'm concerned, any human being who take the life of an innocent, defenseless animal does NOT derserve to be called a human being.

Murder is murder...whether to humans or animals.

Please don't take my anger personally.  It is not directed at you.  It just sickens me the way we as human beings behave toward all forms of life.

actually LLM,
I HAVE seen humans say they are superior to animals many times. In fact, I think they have it bass-ackwards, animals in many ways are far superior to humans!! Take their capacity to love, for example. Animal cruelty is just the worst and it breaks my heart. I used to watch Animal Cops because I liked the happy endings, but there were far too many cases that didn't end happy and I couldn't take it, I'd end up sobbing and losing faith in the human race.

No one specifically spoke those words to my knowledge, circuit...just seems to me that we think ourselves superior to other animals.  God Himself alone is superior to ALL creatures.

I admire you for your sentiments and concern.

Humans are superior, who said it ?
