Oh, I forgot about jasmine rice.  Thank you for the reminder.  I am pleased your daughter has it.  I also like jasmine perfume, and jasmine oil, which I use in aromatherapy with my patients.

I love the scent of night-blooming jasmine.
The faint scent of it in jasmine rice is also pleasant. This plant doesn't grow here -- we have hard freezes in winter, but my daughter in Florida has jasmine along her fence...

What a beautiful, and somehow peaceful post.  I can almost smell your jasmine even though I have none here myself.  I do however have some jasmine tea in the cupboard and you have just prompted me to have a cup of it.

What a sweet post.  I love Jasmine tea.  I didn't know Jasmine only opened at night.  If so, if it's picked in the morning and placed in water, will it open?

Greenfields

another excellent piece that is both entertaining and informative.

In Libya they use for garlands something that looks like jasmine ,  but its flowers are like miniature chrysanthemums and the tree is a free standing type ( I don't know the correct horticultural term). Do you have any idea what this flower is ? in Arabic it is called Full.

You tell such a gentle, rolling story and today "educated" about Jasmine.  I love the fragrance of jasmine....

jasmine comes into our lives in very mysterious ways, right?  It wasn't till I was writing this post that it occured to me that jsmne tea - which I have been drinking for at least 25 years - would have jasmine flowers in it.  How about that?

Hi - very intersting and educational, Greenfields.
Funnily enough, someone who had just been to China came back to work with some jasmine tea - not teabags but the actual plants. It's nice. I often drink jasmine-flavoured green tea for its healthy properties.
