That's hilarious! Maybe that's why Ididn't scream during my one ride. I often DREAM that my teeth are falling out...

And then there's this.....................:

Blackout Leaves Coaster Riders Dangling

By Associated Press

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. - A dozen riders on a roller coaster spent half an hour hanging upside down _ 150 feet above the ground _ after a power outage shut down the attraction.

woo hoo, a first timer is a great partner
On any coaster.  The Millenium Force in Cedar Point is my current favorite, but I'd love to have a new contender.

Fear Issues? Is that what it's called? Well...now I know...still not going
to get on, uh-uh...no way...I've stood in long lines with my older dare-devil son at Islands of Adventure when we lived in Orlando. He loved "The Hulk" and "Fire and Ice" coasters...not me...uh-uh...no way! I went hiking alone once in the Carribbean Nat'l Forest in Puerto Rico, got lost, found the river and followed it to the highway where I waited for a forest ranger to drive by and take me to the Ranger station...it's not that I don't like adventure or take risks...but not roller coasters!

Julia

My mother lost her upper denture while laughing at two intoxicated men with waders on while they were smelt dipping, many years ago.  She stood on shore laughing uncontrollably and out they went into the river.  My father searched, but her upper plate was never to be found.

Oh how my parents loved to tell us kids that story, over and over, through the years.

Julia, one of the funniest things we've ever seen was when we were riding

Boblo's roller coaster and the couple in the seat in front of us, the female passenger in particular, lost her hairpiece.  It flew off into the wild blue yonder, and I have no Idea if she ever recovered it

Liz and I had a good laugh over that one......

That is hilarious!
My stomach is knotted up in my throat and cuts off oxygen and therefore the ability to emit noise  so therefore I don't scream either.

I rode one in San Antonio called "The Rattler". It was wooden and went very fast. It about beat me to death! I was too busy hanging on to do anything else.

I felt my stomach do a flip-flop when you told of the one with nothing between feet and rails. Ahhh that was scary. I admire your joy in them but I am not that courageous. Be blessed.

Julia...
I don't have a fear of roller coasters...I have a fear of the people that maintain them.  Unless I know them personally I probably won't be getting on one, although I loved them when I was younger.  Just like I would love to sky dive, but only if I pack my own shute.  Do I have trust issues??

Those wooden coasters are just the worst..Still say that's why I have neck problems.

The description of Medusa - Yikes - you wouldn't catch me in that line-up (sorry).  No floor?  Looking down at the rails?   65MPH?  Nope - not my thing.     I'm a wuss.
