You can only fail if you do not try, as for desire for power, we all want to suceed, guilt is connected to our conscious maybe yours if reminding you to keep trying!!!

Do no harm to others; if u fail in that, do as little harm to others
If all one does is to get rich and damage the planet, waters and lives, then that person is a curse on Mother Earth. No matter how many times he/she prays, there is no heaven or redemption for such evil beings.

If you love, then there is no guilt my friend.

Since we are not of the same religion I do not know what yours says to do. Mine says that I am not to be guilty of being God. Our only duty is to seek His rulership over our life in totality and He will put us in whatever place, time and job he wants of us, as well as give us victory. That is all we can do. You can only be as strong, good or effective as God needs for you to be if you follow him implicitly. You are not responsible for the peace of the world even in a tiny bit. Be blessed.

We can all only do so much - no one should feel all those weights on their shoulders.  Our best has to be sufficient.

As I have mentioned a hundred times before ( monotonous!), I was raised in the Roman Catholic faith - it's best to do something noble (good) because you want to - but it's better to do something noble (good) out of feelings of guilt, than not to do them at all!

Careful.  IMO you are verging on the most human of frailties -- self-pity.  Are you sure you need validation?  joab

It is not in your hands to do so.  You are one man.  You do the best you can.  There is nothing more that you can do.  Take care of yourself...that's one step in the right direction.  That's one person who you can make a difference in their life.
