samsara!

How To Find Peace When Our Mind Is Involved In Conflict With Situations Unwarranted And Uncalled For Pushing Us To The Wall. Our Life Is A Whirlwind With No Way Out.

Well said. That, basically, is a good working description of Samsara, the spinning in endless rebirth etc. However: the situations (imho) are not exactly 'unwarranted and uncalled for'. We have to take responsibility for our own birth, which comes from our desire to be individuated beings with the capacity to experience particular place and time. So anything that happens to us, including a truck suddenly spinning out of control and breaking our bodies, we are responsible for in the sense that we placed our bodies into that particular space-time situation. Nobody else did this. So there is no such thing as a 100% victim, not really, since we are responsible for having grown the bodies that somebody is now torturing unjustly in a dark dungeon having been illegally rendered from here to there to Poland to Guantanamo and so forth.

IMO,  "into each life some rain must fall".  But it does not necessarily ensue that one is forced to wallow in the mud.  To do so, to me, is to follow an inner-directed choice while looking for outside rationales to excuse such misguided energy.

I know.  I fight this temptation constantly because modern day life provides me and others with almost any excuse necessary to compensate for such situations --especially ones resulting in failure, yet we enter into them with eyes supposedly wide open.

What did the Bard scribble?: "Conscience doth make cowards of us all."  Guilty conscience = inner conflict.

My own verdict: Guilty as charged, but working off the sentence day by day in "inner community" service efforts.  joab
