Lutorlove how lucky ar you My younger son used to send me to a different
movie at sixteen so he wasn't seen by his mates with his Mum. The eldest son on the other hand used to sit and hold my hand and still does.

A lovely post.  You talked about this movie being the choice and I wondered what on earth it was about.  I try to stay away from places and people of whom talk like that.

not much to write as far as scripts with the "F" word filling up the space

posted by Lanetay on June 4, 2007 at 12:09 PM | link to this | reply

I get so sick of movies and Hollywood for writing that word and all
the other bad language into a movie...what lack of creativity

so she wasn't influenced by the bad language as she couldnt hear it but lip reading it all says the same thing "F"

Lustor

I confess that when my daughter was, Oh, 12 or 13 she developed a real interest in Quentin Tarantino films – Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs – all very dark, violent movies filled with the “F” word. Initially I attempted to deny her access to these movies but (I confess) I ultimately bought her a few and continued to add to her collection. I figured if she couldn’t watch them at home she was going to watch them at someone else’s house anyway. But I often scratched my head and wondered why she enjoyed them so much. She’s hearing impaired so I think it was the fact that action films are easier to follow if you’re not catching the entire dialog (that’s how I justified my decision).

it was funny and like I mentioned that words slips out of my mouth too, but its my daughter who corrupted me, its a universal word all right, and that is why a mom let your group of kids go to it because she probably said WTF when she drove off smoking her joint

Good Morning L......First of all your heading cracked me up! LOL

I heard that the movie was pretty funny too. But I agree that the word is definitely overused and has become a universal word used in a multitude of ways! I am guilty of using it myself but when I do it is only in the presence of my friends and family. Like, WTF? LOL

I agree the F word is used to liberally in films.  I used to worry that my boys would copy it in their speech, but thank goodness they seem to have more sense.  Glad to hear you had a good time.
