I'm not one to engage in apocalyptic philosophizing, but I believe that this century will be the most critical period humankind has ever faced. I think we'll find out if we're able to live together in a global community. It may be chaos, but it will be interesting chaos. There are moments I wonder if one could make the moral argument against procreation to save future generations from such bleak possibilities. I will admit it's one of the many reasons I don't want to have a child.

But it's also an exciting time for humankind. There is so much we have not yet discovered. Let's hope we don't destroy ourselves before reaping the benefits.

It is unfortunate

But I have played witness the worst that mankind has too offer, and yet I survive. I survive because man must survive in order to grow and become something greater than either you or I can imagine.

One can choose to fight it,

condone it, or ignore it. All are tough choices. Only one is truly right.

Your thoughts are very well put here. Maybe there's no answer at all.
